We compete with SimpleTexting, and here is their pricing laid out in full: every published tier, the toll-free versus local number split, the one-time carrier fee, and the per-text math at both ends of the ladder, all dated October 17, 2026. Where the numbers favor SimpleTexting for your volume, we say so below.
Carrier-grade infrastructure we own and operate
As of October 17, 2026, SimpleTexting pricing starts at $29 a month for 500 credits on a toll-free number. A local 10DLC number makes it $39, plus a $4 one-time carrier registration. Extra credits cost 5.5¢ each at that tier. The largest published plan is $899 for 50,000 credits. Rates change, so check SimpleTexting's site.

SimpleTexting sells monthly credit plans in eight sizes, 500 to 50,000 credits. Its pricing page shows one default view and fills in the other tiers with a calculator script, which is where the tier prices below come from. Rates change; check SimpleTexting's site for what is current.
$29 ÷ 500 = $0.058 per credit on monthly billing; $23.20 ÷ 500 = $0.0464 on yearly billing. The toll-free number carries no additional fee.
The same $29 plan plus a $10 a month local number, so $39 ÷ 500 = $0.078 per credit. A $4 one-time carrier registration is added in month one.
$899 ÷ 50,000 = $0.018 per credit, or $909 ÷ 50,000 = $0.0182 with a local number. Yearly billing loads 600,000 credits for $8,630.40, which is $0.0144 per credit. Above 50,000 a month, SimpleTexting sends you to sales.

The two entry prices are one plan with two sending numbers. As of October 17, 2026, SimpleTexting's 10DLC page says customers "pay a one-time $4 registration fee, a $10 monthly subscription fee, and wireless carrier fees (at no markup)". Its calculator tooltip calls the same $10 a carrier fee for sending from local numbers. We read both as the same $10: the price of a registered local 10-digit number instead of a toll-free one.
You pay the plan price plus pass-through carrier fees of about $0.0025 a message in the United States. Activation "can take up to a week"; the calculator tooltip says "typically 1-3 days".
Listed as "$10/mo + $4 activation fee", same-day activation. Each extra number is another $10 a month, and the $4 is the only setup fee SimpleTexting publishes.
Senders who need higher 10DLC throughput pay $40 for vetting, outside the calculator total.
On BestText, our team registers your brand and campaigns for you. Fee questions are answered on the demo, and our 10DLC fees guide explains each fee type.
The per-credit rate comes from the arithmetic above, $0.058 at the entry plan and $0.018 at the top tier. Multiply by the credits each message type uses, per SimpleTexting's pricing page as of October 17, 2026, and you have its price before carrier fees.
| Message type | Credits | At entry ($29 ÷ 500 = $0.058) | At top tier ($899 ÷ 50,000 = $0.018) |
|---|---|---|---|
| SMS up to 160 characters | 1 | 1 × $0.058 = $0.058 | 1 × $0.018 = $0.018 |
| Extended SMS, 161 to 306 characters | 2 | 2 × $0.058 = $0.116 | 2 × $0.018 = $0.036 |
| MMS up to 1,600 characters | 3 | 3 × $0.058 = $0.174 | 3 × $0.018 = $0.054 |
| Incoming SMS / incoming MMS | Free / 1 | $0 / $0.058 | $0 / $0.018 |
| Extra credit beyond the plan | 1 each | 5.5¢ | 2¢ |
Carrier fees are passed through on top, about $0.0025 per message in the United States and $0.0068 in Canada, with no markup, per SimpleTexting's pricing page.
None of these are hidden. They sit on SimpleTexting's pricing page and help center as of October 17, 2026, a few scrolls below the headline rate.
The fourth teammate costs $20 a month, every month, on top of the plan.
5.5¢ a credit on the 500-credit plan, down to 2¢ at 50,000. At entry that is just under the $0.058 included rate, so a small overage costs about what the plan does.
Monthly: unused credits roll to the end of the following month, and a downgrade forfeits them. Yearly: all credits load up front, and what is left at year end does not roll over.
20% off the plan ($29 becomes $23.20) and nothing off the $10 local number. The page's $398.40 a year is 12 × ($23.20 + $10).
SimpleTexting sells monthly plans; BestText sells credit packages at $0.022 a credit, whatever the size. One-segment texts before carrier fees and tax, with SimpleTexting figures as of October 17, 2026.
| Volume or feature | SimpleTexting | BestText |
|---|---|---|
| 500 texts a month | $29 toll-free, or $39 local plus $4 once ($29 ÷ 500 = $0.058; $39 ÷ 500 = $0.078 per text) | $0.022 per text from the smallest package, $100 for 4,545 credits, plus number fees from the cash balance |
| 50,000 texts a month | $899, or $909 with a local number ($899 ÷ 50,000 = $0.018 per text) | 50,000 credits for $1,100 ($1,100 ÷ 50,000 = $0.022 per text) |
| What $100 buys | Plans only; $100 falls between the $79 (2,000 credits) and $109 (3,000 credits) tiers | 4,545 credits, bought when you need them |
| MMS | 3 credits | 3 credits per image plus the caption's segments, about $0.09 with a short caption |
| Ringless voicemail | Not mentioned on SimpleTexting's pricing or home page | Same account, same lists, billed from a separate cash balance |
A 3% card processing fee applies by default on BestText packages, added as its own invoice line, about $0.02266 per credit. Monthly number fees come from a separate cash balance and are covered on the demo; the full rate card is on our SMS marketing pricing page.
At its top published tier SimpleTexting charges $0.018 per credit, or $0.0144 on yearly billing, against BestText's flat $0.022. Its MMS also uses 3 credits, so at that volume a picture with text costs 3 × $0.018 = $0.054 there, against our $0.066 for the image alone or about $0.09 with a short caption. It also offers a free trial with no credit card, a 30-day money-back guarantee, and live chat and phone support seven days a week, as of October 17, 2026. If you send a steady 50,000 texts a month, with pictures, and want to start self-serve today, pick SimpleTexting.
You buy a package when you need to send, and a busy month pays the same $0.022 rate, with no tier to resize.
At the entry plan SimpleTexting is $0.058 per credit on monthly billing. BestText is $0.022 from the first credit, and teammates cost nothing extra.
SMS, MMS and ringless voicemail run from one BestText account and share lists, inbox, opt-outs and reports. SimpleTexting's pricing and home pages do not mention ringless voicemail. See SMS vs ringless voicemail.

Three. As of October 17, 2026, SimpleTexting counts an SMS up to 160 characters as 1 credit and 161 to 306 characters as 2. An MMS up to 1,600 characters is 3. At the entry rate, an MMS costs 3 × $0.058 = $0.174. On BestText an MMS is 3 credits per image plus the caption's segments, about $0.09 with a short caption.
Partly. On monthly plans, remaining credits roll over until the end of the following month, and a downgrade forfeits them, per SimpleTexting's help center as of October 17, 2026. Yearly plans load all credits up front, and whatever is unused at year end does not roll over. BestText has no monthly allowance; you buy a credit package when you need to send.
